JAIPUR: The Jaipur police on Thursday afternoon rescued a four-year-old boy who was abducted from his house in in the morning.
According to Pratap Nagar police station house officer Islam Khan, Kaushal Kushwaha was abducted from his house sometime on Wednesday evening. The FIR was filed by his parents on Thursday early morning.
“At 4 am on Thursday, the parents of the boy received an extortion call from the abductors. They were demanding Rs 2 Lakh for the release of Kaushal. They informed the police and we traced the location of the call in ,” Khan said.
Another police team scanned the footage of the area and found that a suspected vehicle had passed through the city limits and entered into Lalsot in Dausa and further into Hindon city.
A special team from Jaipur was sent to Dholpur at about 9 am. “With the help of the local police, we managed to trace the location of the abductors at a hideout in the outskirts of the city,” an official said, adding that the police team also searched for the mobile tower location of the area before it zeroed in on the suspects.
The officials said that three suspects have been detained and are taken to Jaipur. The parents of the boy work as a daily wage labourers. Kaushal was alone at the house when the abductors came and took him away.
“When the mother came to the house she found that her son was missing. The parents searched for Kaushal around the area but did not find him. They went to the police station and registered a case,” said an official.
The primary investigation suggests that the suspects were acquaintance of Kaushal‘s father and may have lured him to come with him. The police said that a case would be registered against three suspects.
