Reserve Tariiq Jones chipped in with a career-high 13 points and five boards for Detroit Mercy, which dropped its eighth straight game and lost for the ninth time in the last 10 games against the Phoenix.
The Titans trailed 48-41 at halftime, but Jones’ 3-point play evened the score at 67 midway through the second half. Jackson’s 3-pointer with 7:02 left again pulled Detroit Mercy even at 73. But Jesperson answered with a 3 of his own, added three free throws and had a dunk and a 3 in a 12-1 spurt to give Green Bay an 85-74 lead with four minutes remaining.
