Police rescue two abducted persons in UP‘s Ballia

VARANASI: Taking prompt action the successfully rescued two persons abducted from Gorakhpur in on Saturday evening. However, the kidnappers managed to flee from the scene.
According to reports, a pathology owner , resident of Gopalganj (Bihar) was abducted by four men from his place and taken to Gorakhpur in a SUV. In Gorakhpur the abductors forced Yogesh to call his father-in-law . When he went to meet his son-in-law the kidnappers dragged him into the vehicle and ran away.

The matter was reported to in Gorakhpur district. “We received an alert from Gorakhpur that the kidnappers moved to Bihar via Ballia. We immediately swung into action and successfully rescued them near Chhitauni railway crossing,” the station officer of Rasra police station Jagdish Chandra Yadav told TOI over phone. The kidnappers managed to flee in the darkness with their vehicle.

According to him, an FIR against four persons including one Bittu Singh was lodged under section 364 (kidnapping or abducting in order to murder) at Gulariya police station. The matter was being investigated by Gulariya police.
