Saturday marks 2nd weekend robbery involving bear spray and a white-masked culprit

Another robbery involving bear spray happened in Saskatoon this weekend, according to the police.

It‘s the second such incident in three days.

The Saskatoon Police Service says a masked man armed with bear spray robbed a business in the 400 block of Kenderline Road just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The man demanded money and lottery tickets and ran off with his loot.

No one was injured.

The man is described as having been six feet two inches tall and wearing blue jeans and a white mask.

A man wearing a white mask and carrying a can of bear spray robbed a store in the 1800 block of Broadway Avenue of money after 8 p.m. Friday night.

The police service has previously said it sees bear spray incidents “happen in clusters throughout the year.”
