The Saskatoon Police Service is asking drivers to slow down as ‘slippery‘ road conditions on a section of the Idylwyld Drive freeway near the 8th Street turnoff have contributed to two separate single-vehicle collisions on the weekend.
Also warning drivers is a person who drove by the scene of the latter accident — a truck that slipped and ended up on top of the freeway guardrail — and captured the scene on her camera.
The bridges are icy people! Slow down!!!
Police say the 32-year-old woman who was driving that truck appeared to have escaped injury.
Southbound traffic was being restricted.
On Saturday, a vehicle also collided with the guardrail near the same spot.
There were no injuries in that incident either, though police noted, “once again failure to drive according to slippery conditions appears to have been the cause.”
This was yesterday.
“Slow down, take your time, arrive safe,” the police added.
