Thieves steal $30,000 statue from Norfolk County home

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a break and enter at a Norfolk County home where they say a $30,000 statue was stolen from a closet.

Police say it‘s a gold and porcelain statue of a young girl and cow and was taken from a box inside a closet.

OPP say they got the call Thursday morning around 10:45 a.m. of a break-in at a Norfolk home on Highway 59.

The investigation revealed people entered the home Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

According to police, there was a dog inside the home at the time, which was locked in a spare room by the thieves.

The suspects also got away with an iPad 2 and a small jewelry box with two gold rings and three gold necklaces in it.
